Mary Fern Turner

 105 year old Fairfield resident, Mary F. Turner, passed away Monday, August 28, 2023 at  the Skilled Care Unit at Fairfield Memorial Hospital.

Mary was born in Hamilton County, IL on December 29, 1917 to Otis and Pearl (Hutchcraft) Turner.

Mary had worked at Airtex Products in the Fuel Pump Department before retiring.  She was a faithful member of the Fairfield First Christian Church where for many years she kept the attendance records. Mary enjoyed reading her bible and was a strong believer in prayer. 

Preceding her in death were her parents, her sister, Flossie and brother-in-law Jess Duckworth.

Survivors include a niece, Sharon (Jim) McDaniel of Mt. Carmel, IL. 2 nephews, Mike (Becky) Duckworth of Mill Shoals and Archie (Jean) Duckworth of Mill Shoals. Several great nieces and great nephews, who she enjoyed doting over.

Funeral Services for Mary F. Turner will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 2, 2023 at Nale’s Funeral Home. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to service time. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery in Fairfield, IL

Memorials may be made to the Fairfield First Christian Church and will be accepted at Nale’s or the church.
