91-year-old former Albion, Illinois resident Nadine M. Crackel of Spring, Texas died 2:00 p.m. Monday October 29, 2012 at Spring, Texas. She was a homemaker and was also a member of the Browns Methodist Church. Nadine was born July 14, 1921 in Belleville, Illinois to William and Lillie Belle Marriott Harper. She was united in marriage to Melvin "Tad" Crackel in December of 1944. Survivors include 2 daughters Nancy Rasmussen and her husband Eric of Woodlands, Texas and Sally Howe and her husband Kenneth of Mt. Carmel; as well as 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Her parents, husband Tad, 2 brothers Nile and William Harper preceded Nadine in death. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012 at Nales Funeral Home in Albion with Brother Floyd Wood officiating. Burial will be in Browns Cemetery. Visitation will be conducted at the funeral home Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
