NEVA JUNE KOONTZ – FORMERLY OF FAIRFIELD
Neva June (Williams) Koontz, 87, of Rogers, AR passed away Tuesday March 15, 2022, at the home of her son. She was born July 23, 1934, to Harry and Anna (Bennett) Williams in Fairfield, IL. Neva married Robert Harris in Fairfield, IL in 1952, and he preceded her in death. Later, she married Ira Koontz in Fairfield, IL in 1967 and he also preceded her in death on February 6, 1998.
Neva was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Fairfield where she held various positions for more than 40 years. Family and faith were important to her. She was employed at the Fairfield Garment Factory and her love for sewing continued throughout her life. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and had a love for reading. She also enjoyed Bible study and making quilts with her friends. She will be missed greatly by her family and the entire community.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Anna Williams, both husbands, brother Ray Williams, Roy Williams, Thomas Williams, Harry Williams and Guy Williams a daughter Rosemary (Harris) Best and a half sister, Edith Meserole.
Left to cherish their memories of Neva are her sons, James Harris of Rogers, Arkansas, David Harris of Sims, Illinois, Floyd Harris of Amarillo, Texas, Howard Harris of Fairfield, Illinois and daughter Robyn (Harris) Denton of Naples, Florida. She also left behind 22 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.

Services for Neva Koontz will be Monday, March 21, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of service. Interment will follow at Koontz cemetery, Wayne County, IL.
