Nigel Faye Brown Faulkner

99 year old Fairfield, Illinois resident Nigel B. Faulkner died at 10:00 p.m. Wednesday January 31, 2018 at the Aperion Health Care Center in Fairfield, Illinois. Nigel was a kitchen helper having worked at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. She attended the Church of God and Full Gospel Tabernacle.

Nigel was born March 21, 1918 in Hugo, Colorado to Paris R. Brown and Bonnie C. White Brown. She was united in marriage June 25, 1938 in Fairfield, Illinois to Gerald Faulkner who died January 4, 1971.

Survivors include a son Charles Faulkner of Fairfield, Illinois; 2 daughters LaDonna Lapikas of Fairfield, Illinois and Carolyn Kohl of Stockton, California; 8 grandchildren Marlene Olson and her husband Michael of Brattleboro, Vermont, Denice Kelley and her husband Joe of Colton, Oregon, Marty Romero of Lodi, California, Glynis Taomina of Santa Cruz, California, Radonna Sue McKinney of Normal, Illinois, Evan and his wife Vanessa of Scheller, Illinois, Kevan Ewing and his wife Sharla of Fairfield, Illinois, and Jamie Faulkner and his wife Jessica of Norfolk, Virginia; 16 great grandchildren, 20 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Nigel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gerald, a son Franklin Faulkner, 4 sisters Opal Plasters, Ruth Gibson, Gail Knudson and Esther Brown; and a brother Henry Brown.

Family and friends are encouraged to attend a Memorial Service on Sunday February 11, 2018 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at East Hickory Hill Missionary Baptist Church 20761 E Illinois Highway 15, Bluford, Illinois. The visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m., then the eulogy and prayer will be at 3:00 p.m. The family will hold a private interment of ashes immediately following the service.

Cards and flowers may be sent to Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield, Illinois and will be taken to the service.
