86-year-old Fairfield, Illinois resident Norma P. Vaughan died at 10:03 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2013 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. She was a cook at Mills Prairie High School and later a C.N.A. at Way-Fair Nursing Home. Norma was a member of the Mill Shoals Baptist Church. Norma was born January 6, 1927 in Mill Shoals, Illinois to Vern F. and Isabelle Wheeler Gidcumb. She was united in marriage October 4, 1947 to Max H. Vaughan who died October 15, 2010. Survivors include 3 sons Gary Vaughan of Fairfield; Richard Vaughan and his wife Mary of Fairfield, Illinois and Tracy Vaughan and his wife Brenda of Eldorado, Illinois; 1 daughter Lisa Webb of McLeansboro, Illinois; a sister Zella Dozier of Burley, Idaho; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Norma was preceded in death by her husband Max, her parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and a daughter-in-law. Services for Norma P. Vaughan will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield, Illinois with Brother John Reed officiating. Burial will be in the West Antioch Cemetery of Mill Shoals, Illinois. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at Nales Funeral Home in Fairfield, Illinois.
