Butterworth, Norma Louise Murphy Harris
Born: July 9, 1937, Barnhill Township, Illinois
Died: January 22, 2022, Fairfield, Illinois
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Aunt Louise. She ‘graduated’ early Saturday morning in the arms of her adored niece and best friend, Terrisa Vaughan. She lived most of her young life in Fairfield, and moved to California when her boys were small. After the death of her husband, she moved back to Fairfield to be amongst family and friends
Louise was predeceased by parents Roy and Mora Murphy, husband James Butterworth, sisters Leatrice Lemons Wright and Venita Thornburg, beloved son Kevin Harris, and nephew Mike Waln. She is survived by son Kyle Harris, special nieces Cheri Lemons, Julie Goforth, and Pat Waln, much loved great-niece Lacey Hooper-Chapman, and nephews Rick Lemons, Phil Lemons, and Steve Waln.
It’s with great glee that we envision the reunion that she was so looking forward to. With her gift of gab, she’ll have stories for everyone. One of her favorite sayings was, “In my Father’s house there are many mansions. I hope yours is next to mine.” You should be so lucky!
We loved you and will miss you terribly.
In keeping with Louise’s wishes her body was cremated. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Union Cemetery southwest of Fairfield.
Memorials can be made to the Growls and Meows Veterinary Clinic and will be accepted at Nale’s Funeral Home.
