85 year old Fairfield resident, Owen Ray Lowery passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026, in Evansville, Indiana.
Owen was born August 19, 1940, in Wayne City, Illinois to Clyde and Vada (Mayberry) Lowery.
Owen was a farmer and worked at Airtex for 44 years. Owen married Jane Vaughan on June 11, 1960 in Fairfield, Illinois. Owen and Jane had celebrated 65 years of marriage and he loved her dearly. He had a great love for his family and enjoyed the time he spent with them. Owen was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Fairfield.
Owen is survived by his wife Jane (Vaughan) Lowery, 2 daughters; Janet & (Sonny) McCulley and Charlene & (Bart) New both of Fairfield IL. 1 son; Steven (Gaye) Lowery of Fairfield IL. 1 sister; Connie Mae Skurat of Woodlawn IL. 8 grandchildren, Krystal (Rick) Gooding, Chris Melton, Sara Wiechert, Josh (Lisa) Lowery, Kesney Riley, Kayla (Josh) Stinson, Bradley McCulley, Rachel (Rick) Ewing. 21 great grandchildren, Vayda, Mitchell, Lexi, Ricky, Quincy, Cora, Chase, Addi, Nyla, Ridley, Nathan, Rosie, Rhett, Cashton, Kaison, Crimson, Trigg, Tessa,
Chloe, Felicia, Paisley, Brinley. 4 great great grandchildren Layla, Ruger, Thalia, Kolbie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, and 6 brothers.
Visitation for Owen Lowery will be held 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday evening May 3, 2026 and again on Monday May 4, 2026 from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. with Funeral Services at 1:00 p.m. at Nale’s Funeral Home in Fairfield.
