Reah Joanne (Martin) Gregory

89 year old Fairfield resident, Reah Joanne Gregory passed away Monday, Feb. 19, 2024 at the Carmi Manor Rehab and Nursing Center in Carmi, Illinois.  Joanne was born June 4, 1934 in Geff, Illinois to Vern and Leona Marie (Stanley) Martin.  

Joanne lived in Arrow Rock, Missouri with her husband Chester for many years.  They had a shop on the boardwalk called "The Gregory House". She especially loved craft festival ime in the fall with the many people she would get to visit and catch up with.  She also ran an antique mall in Rocheport and a small cafe'.  Joanne loved traveling with Chester and spending time with her grand kids.  She was the happiest when she had her family around.

Joanne spent her working career as a administrative assistant at the Center of Research at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri.  She moved back to Illinois in 2006 to be near her sister and brother.

Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Chester, her brother, Ray, sisters, Vera and Marge, her great grand son, Justin Tyler.

She is survived by her son, George, a daughter, Debbie and husband Scot. Grand children, Stephanie and husband JR, Jennifer, Chet and wife Lauren, Justin adn wife Amanda, Brandon, Melissa and husband Douglas. Great grand children, Shawnee, Austin and Camden. Also several nieces and nephews.

Private graveside services will be held in Arrow Rock, Missouri.
