71-year-old former Albion, Illinois resident Richard "Dick" C. Collins of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma died at 1:56 p.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at his residence. He worked in the Maintenance Department at Duke Energy at Princeton, Indiana. Dick was a member of the Conway Methodist Church. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Dick was born September 25, 1945 at Albion, Illinois to Albert Collins and Meredith Goodson Collins. He was united in marriage in Metropolis, Illinois July 2, 1976 to Priscilla Jones.
Survivors include his wife Priscilla "Cookie" Collins of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; a son Kip Collins and his wife Kelli of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; a brother Kent Collins of Morton, Illinois; a sister Kay Miller of Oakland, Illinois; and 2 grandchildren Konnor and Kaleb Collins.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services for Richard "Dick" C. Collins will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 5, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Albion, Illinois with Brother Kirk Rowe officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday August 5, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Albion, Illinois.
Memorials may be made to the Baptist Children's Home and will be accepted at the church and Nale's Funeral Home in Albion.
