80 year old Albion, Illinois resident Robert Don Bunting passed from this life to the next at 1:30 p.m. Friday, October 19, 2018 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital, Newburg, Indiana. He had started working in local grocery stores and theaters when in high school. After high school he went to Electronics School in Chicago, then worked at the Federal Reserve Bank in Chicago, Illinois before moving back to Albion in 1961, working in the oilfields, shoe factory, and Spartan before accepting a job at Snap on Tools in Mt. Carmel, IL where he worked as a Tool Assembler for 34 years retiring in 2000 for health reasons. He was a member of the Albion Moose.
Robert was the son of Alvin Lee and Mary Margaret (Headlee) Bunting, born April 2, 1938 in Albion, Illinois.
Survivors include 1 son- Carl Edward Bunting of Robards, Kentucky. 2 daughters Patricia Spareacino of Martinsville, Illinois and Donna Wardrip of Albion, Illinois, 7 grandchildren, Wesley, Jennifer, Shaelynn, Joseph, Mariah, Chelsea, and Robby, 6 great-grandchildren, 1 aunt and several cousins
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, 1 infant son, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
The body is to be cremated with a private graveside service to be held at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Albion Senior Citizens Center and accepted at Nale's Funeral Home in Albion, Illinois.
