91-year-old former Albion, Illinois resident, Robert Shupe Sr., of Peoria, Aizona died at 12:15 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2012 at Hospice of the Valley in Peoria, Arizona. He was a Methodist and worked as a Methods Analyst and served in the U.S. Army during World War II, receiving 4 Bronze Stars. Robert was born September 14, 1920 in Albion, Illinois to Wesley and Parthenia Collins Shupe. On April 23, 1941 he was united in marriage to Mildred Orr. Surviving are two sons, Robert Shupe, Jr. of Phoenix, Azrizona and Greg of Fountain Hills, Arizona; one daughter, Cindy Shupe of Glendale, Arizona; and four grandchildren. Funeral services for Robert Shupe, Sr. will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Nale's Funeral Home in Albion with Brother David Shain officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Albion with a military service at the gravesite. Visitation will be conducted at the funeral home Tuesday, January 31, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
