Rod N. Williams

Rod Williams, age 61 of Browns, passed away peacefully Thursday evening, April 8, 2021 at his residence surrounded by loved ones.  Rod was born in Fairfield on March 5, 1960 to Buford and Betty Lou (Kight) Williams. Rod married Patty Hallam on October 19, 1990 at the First Baptist Church in Albion and she survives. Rod was a field foreman for Consumers Gas Company headquartered in Carmi and also owned and operated Rod Williams Well Service for several years. Rod loved to fish, hunt, and trap coyotes but his greatest joy was found in spending time with his precious family. He was a member of the Grayville Moose Lodge, National & Illinois Trappers Association, and was a volunteer with the Browns Fire Department.

Left to cherish many wonderful memories are his wife Patty, son, Darren (Miranda) Williams of Olney, daughter, Deven (Jeremy) Hazelbaker of Castalian Springs, Tennessee; one brother, Lonnie (Janet)Williams of Bone Gap; two sisters, Jennifer (David) Keifer and Becky (Donnie) Grimes both of Albion; three darling granddaughters, Grace, Clara, and Norah, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Preceding Rod in death were his parents and brother, Randy.

Funeral services for family, will be held at 10:00am, Monday April 12th, 2021 at Nale’s Funeral Home in Albion. Burial will follow in Browns Cemetery in Browns. Friends and family may visit Sunday evening, April 11th at the funeral home from 5:00pm until 7:00pm. Please remember the CDC guidelines of social distancing and the wearing of masks. Memorials may be made to the Browns Cemetery Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be left for the family at www.nalesfuneralhome.com.
