Ruby Mae (Douglas) Williams

Ruby Mae (Douglas) Williams, 92, passed away on Friday, March 18, at her home in Fairfield.

She was born on March 17, 1930 to Marcus and Leta (Edwards) Douglas in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. She married Edward L. Williams on August 28, 1948 in Sims, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 19, 2013.

Ruby is survived by her children: Leta (Ron) Holland of Paris, Tenn.; Edward (Beverly) Williams of New Lenox, Ill.; Dennis (Sarah) Williams of Edmond, Okla.; Dinah (Ted) Lafaber of Bourbonnais, Ill.; Regina Williams of Fairfield; and Myrna Werner of Carbondale; 11 grandchildren; 17 greatgrandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren.

Per her wishes, her body will be cremated with no services planned.
