Ruth L. (Denson) McKibben

89 year old Albion resident, Ruth L. McKibben passed away at her residence in Albion, Illinois, on Thursday, December 26, 2024.

Ruth was born on June 2, 1935 to Earl Mount and Edna (Mullinax) Denson. Ruth married Nile “Moon” McKibben in March of 1959. Moon preceded her in death on July 21, 2003. Ruth was a long time Albion resident who worked in several of the local restaurants in the area. She enjoyed helping with the children in the early Childhood Development Center.

She is survived by one son; Robert McKibben of Albion, 2 daughters;  Deborah McKibben of Albion and Kristin Chapman of Albion. One sister; Janice (Donald) Sanner of Edwardsville, Illinois, 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and eight brothers and sisters & 1 grand daughter.

 Funeral services for Ruth L. McKibben will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 30, 2024 at Nale’s Funeral Home in Albion, Illinois.  Visitation will be Monday, Twelve (noon) to service time. Her burial will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at Nale’s Funeral Home.
