65 year old Fairfield resident, Steven R. “Ox” Evetts, passed away at Aperion Care Fairfield on Tuesday, March 8, 2022.
Steven was born June 28, 1956 in Fort Jackson, South Carolina to Norman R. and Anna Louise (Bellamy) Evetts. He married Carol A. Nolan on October 27, 2012 in Harland, Kentucky. Steven was a foreman for Brown Shoe Company in Houston, MO for several years. He was also an independent wrestler for 16 years. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army.
Steven is survived by his wife Carol Evetts of Fairfield, Sons; Steve (Shannon) Evetts Jr. of Evansville, IN, Andy Vaughan of Ingraham, IL, John Davis of Fairfield, Daughters; Michelle (Shannon) Harris of Blytheville, AR, Stephanie Oralls of Jonesboro, AR, Mira Evetts of Fairfield, Brothers; Danny (Julie) Evetts of Wright City, MO, Tony (Tammy) Evetts of West Plains, MO, Sister; Patricia Sullins of Fenton, MO and seven grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Norman and Anna Louise Evetts.
Graveside services with military honors provided by Anthony Wayne American Legion Post 176 and the Wayne Memorial Post 4535 VFW for Steven Evetts will be Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Maple Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses and will be accepted at Nale's Funeral Home in Fairfield.
