Terry Craig Newsom

79-year-old Ellery resident, Terry Craig Newsom passed away in St Louis, Missouri on Sunday, June 28, 2026.

Terry was born in Valparaiso, Indiana on September 26, 1946, to Howard and Beulah (Maudlin) Newsom. He was a head mechanic for Active West Bowling Centers in Rialto California for twenty years. He proudly served his Country in the United States Army from 1965 to 1968.

 On September 29, 1979, Terry married the love of his life, Wanda “June” Parker in San Bernardino, California. Together they shared many years of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Terry was a faithful member of Ellery Christian Church. He loved bowling and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Terry is survived by his wife; Wanda Newsom, two sons; Craig and Jesse Newsom both of Ellery, IL. one daughter; Savannah Stewart of Fairfield, IL. Two grandchildren; Trinity, and Jesse.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother and 1 sister.

Per Terry’s wishes, his body will be cremated, and burial will take place at a later date.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Ellery Christian Church.
