Thelma J. Ellis

73-year-old Fairfield resident, Thelma J. Ellis, died at 7:29 a.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at Way-Fair Restorium in Fairfield. She worked as a CNA at Cisne Manor and also worked for Community Care. She was a lifetime member of the Republican National Party. She was born December 4, 1938 in Wayne County, Illinois to James and Mary Moore Day. On January 1, 1960, Thelma was united in marriage to Max H. Ellis. Surviving are three daughters, Debbie Ellis-Majcen of Westmont, Illinois, Lisa Ellis of Belleville, Illinois and Cindy Davis of Pensacola, Florida; a grandson whom she raised, Ryan Ellis of Fairfield, Illinois; and eight grandchildren. Her parents, husband, and one brother preceded Thelma in death. Graveside services for Thelma J. Ellis will be 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27 at Maple Hill Cemetery in Fairfield, Illinois with Brother John Reed officiating. There will be no visitation.
