Theresa M. Wood

95-year-old Fairfield, Illinois resident Theresa M. Wood died at 3:30 a.m. Monday, November 12, 2012 at her residence. She was a beautician for several years and worked with Lillian Dobbs. Theresa was a member of the St. Edwards Catholic Church in Fairfield. Theresa was born October 27, 1917 in Ridgway, Illinois to Joe and Maggie Wathan O'Leary. She was united in marriage to Robert Wood who died in 1983. Surviving are a sister Lucille Stucke of Granite City, Illinois; 3 nieces Marsha Sork of Fairfield, Nancy Lyftogt of Scottsdale, Arizona and Shaila Maio of Denver, Colorado; and a nephew Bob Young of Fairfield. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 5 brothers. Graveside services for Theresa M. Wood will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Maple Hill Cemetery with Father H. Ray Englehart officiating. There will be no visitation and Nale's Funeral Home in Fairfield is in charge the arrangements.
