Tobias John Bye

68 year old former Fairfield resident, Tobias John Bye passed away at Carmi Manor Rehab and Nursing Center in Carmi, on February 13, 2020.

Tobias was born August 11, 1951 at the United States Naval Hospital in Great Lakes, Illinois the only child of Marlind Harold Bye and Wanda Louise (Renshaw) Bye.  Tobias was a decorated Vietnam veteran having served with the United States Marine Corps. He lived in many places including New York and California acquiring many friends along the way. He was baptized and had attended the Elm River Baptist Church.

Remembering Tobias will be several friends and cousins. Preceding him in death were his parents and his son.

Graveside services with military honors provided by Anthony Wayne Post 176 American Legion and Wayne Memorial Post 4535 VFW will be held Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 10:00 am at Locust Grove Cemetery south of Mt.
