William R. Powell

 William Randall Powell (Bill) 62, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2024 following his heroic battle with cancer.

William was born on August 8, 1962 to James W. and Geniva Powell in Fairfield, Illinois. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and treasured friend. Bill was hard-working and dedicated. He spent 41 years at Champion Laboratories Inc. and was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department and Civil Defense for over a decade. Despite his many responsibilities he was always available for his family and his passions. He enjoyed being outdoors and could be found hunting, fishing, working on trucks or watching NASCAR on his days off, which were few.

He was a man of integrity, kindness and generosity and left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his sons; Christopher Powell and his wife, Jalyn, Zachary Powell.  Brothers; Ronald and Charlie Powell, Grandson, William, Grand daughter Raiya and a host of other family and friend.    

There will be a small memorial for family and close friends at a later date.
